FREEDOM SCHOOL
NAACP New York Freedom School is a culturally affirming Saturday enrichment and civic leadership program centered around African and African American history, literacy, leadership, and community empowerment. Developed in partnership with educators and community organizations, the program creates space for students to learn, grow, and lead.
DR. HAZEL N. DUKES LEGACY AWARDS
Established by the NAACP New York State Youth & College Division in 2015, the Dr. Hazel N. Dukes Legacy Awards honors student leaders and changemakers who embody Dr. Dukes’ lifelong commitment to civil rights, education, advocacy, and service throughout New York State.
